Chapter 8

The rays of the sun hit my face like a prize fighter with a right cross and stirred me awake. I looked up and realized that I’d spent the entire night with Melanie. My head was still nestled into her chest and the rhythmic pulse of her heartbeat coupled with the rise and fall of her breasts threatened to pull me under once again, but it was time to get up. Even without a watch, I knew we’d overslept. I braced myself against the couch and began to lift myself up, but Melanie had her arms wrapped protectively around my neck. Then her grip tightened when she felt me slipping away. I smiled and began to kiss her neck lightly. I let my fingers roam along her bare skin and played with her waistline all the while whispering for her to get up.

She shifted back and forth trying to free herself from the teasing and let out several adorable groans of protest. “I don’t want to get up,” she muttered, turning over on her side and swatting at me.

I caught her arm and draped it over her shoulder as I sank back onto the couch. “I don’t think you have a choice. Pretty sure the Chief of Staff can’t play hooky.”

“According to your father, I’m not a Chief of Staff. I’m a secretary, and they play hooky all the time.” Her response was muffled by the couch and slathered in a defiant grogginess.

I watched the full strength of the sun barge its way into the living room and splash her naked frame in sunlight. I took in the majesty of her and felt my morning erection resurge, my tip poking against her.

Melanie hummed; grabbing my arm and slinging it around her waist. “Now that I’ll wake up for,” she teased. She pushed herself against me, and the folds of her sex began drawing me in, already wet and hungry for my arrival.

Reluctantly, I extracted myself softly while smiling at her audible disapproval. “One of us still has to go in and at this point, I don’t think Dad will let me slide for being late.” I stood up and tried desperately to remember where passion had told me to leave my pants. I heard the shuffle of skin and fabric.

Melanie had turned over to look at me. “We left all our clothes in the kitchen.”

Without looking at her, I knew she wore satisfied grin on her face. She took the same kind of pleasure I would have, in her position, knowing that she’d rocked my world.

I took a swift stride into the kitchen and immediately found my shirt lying crumpled by the stove. I picked it up and went searching for my pants for the next five minutes. When I couldn’t find them, I traipsed back into the living room with a look of confusion.

Melanie responded with outright laughter.

At first, my confusion only grew, but then my hands drifted to my legs and I realized that I’d never taken off my pants to begin with.
